About My Clients
I specialize in working with individuals, families, and couples who are negotiating complex issues of identity and life transition including but not limited to; Mixed-race/ethnicity, Interracial relationships, Mixed families, Blended families, Queer and/or Questioning, First-generation college students/graduates, Upward mobility/success, Career change/Transitions, Impostor experience, Sexuality and Desire.
My Background and Approach
Things can change. It is this fact that drives psychotherapy. The act of speaking combined with the guiding intention of another can be the catalyst of that change and the beginning of something profound and new. My work is primarily psychodynamic and I provide a space where clients can be truly heard, many for the very first time Through speech conflicts can be illuminated, anxieties and depressions can be explored, and symptoms of mental and spiritual distress can be relieved. It is my belief that a fulfilling life can be recovered and expanded. I have extensive experience working with adolescents, adults of diverse racial and ethnic backgrounds, economic circumstances, sexual orientations and gender identities.
