About My Clients
I work with women navigating anxiety, depression, self-esteem, relationships, boundaries, identity, and life transitions. I also have a special passion for supporting adolescent girls as they navigate emotions, friendships, relationships, self-esteem, and discovering who they are. Therapy is a space to feel understood, build confidence, strengthen your voice, and develop a healthier relationship with yourself.
My Background and Approach
I’m the owner of Totten Therapeutic Services (TTS) and have over a decade of experience providing therapy. I’m also currently pursuing my Doctor of Psychology (PsyD). My approach is eclectic and individualized because I don’t believe therapy should look the same for everyone. I integrate evidence-based and holistic approaches based on your needs, personality, experiences, and goals. My work may incorporate CBT, DBT, solution-focused therapy, person-centered therapy, mindfulness, somatic practices, and other therapeutic techniques. My style is warm, collaborative, relatable, and practical. We’ll explore the deeper patterns when needed while also developing tools you can use in your everyday life.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe therapy should be a space where you can be real, feel heard, and show up without having everything figured out. Whether you’re a woman finding your way back to yourself or an adolescent girl discovering who you are, your experiences matter. I believe healing and growth come from understanding your story, recognizing patterns, building confidence, developing healthy boundaries, and learning to trust your own voice. For adolescent girls, therapy can also provide a safe space to navigate emotions, relationships, self-esteem, identity, and the pressures of growing up. My role isn’t to tell you who to become, but to support and challenge you as you discover your strengths, deepen your understanding of yourself, and move forward with greater confidence and self-trust.
