Attacks can be terrifying, and I don't want you to have to suffer them anymore. Holistic practices can reduce anxiety tremendously, and I look forward to teaching you tools to take your life back.
My Background and Approach
I have received my Associates Degree in Chemical Dependency Counseling at Hudson Valley Community College and both my Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Social Work from the State University of New York at Albany.I have worked in multiple treatment settings, including adult and adolescent substance abuse treatment programs, in-patient and out-patient mental health programs and talk therapy programs.I work with individuals and families that experience a wide range of behavioral and emotional impairments, including depression, anxiety, grief/loss, stress management, PTSD and addictions.I recognize that change and loss, as well as unexpected and unwanted circumstances, can impact life and foster a sense of hopelessness. Understanding that these changes may be painful and often times debilitating, I seeks to provide a safe, trusting and supportive environment to promote healing and growth in each and every client I work with. My approach to therapy is tailored to each individual client.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that everyone can change and grow at any time in their lives. I don't believe that there is a limit to human capacity. I think the main reason we develop mental health issues is because they are unhealthy learned behaviors that we have picked up along the way. Which means that I think you can unlearn the faulty behaviors and replace them with healthy ones.
