About My Clients
I have been working with first responders, active military, and veterans for 4 and a half years, so I know that population well. I like to take an out of the box approach when I can. So if you want to go on a hike during session, or a walk around town, I am all for it. I'm a big believer in nature being healing, and getting outside can help us get out of our heads too. That said, I can do telehealth too. If that's you, we can definitely work well together.
My Background and Approach
I like existential therapy, because it helps hold you together by reminding you that YOU have the ability to change and hold yourself. I'm a big proponent of mindfulness and DBT techniques as well.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Therapy feels overwhelming if you're already overwhelmed. Talking about everything with someone, and not being judged? That's a tall order. But here's what I think about therapy. You have the answers in you already. You know what you need. You might just need the right question to bring that answer up.
