About My Clients
You may feel stuck in day-to-day life, unsure what comes next or reluctant to ask for help because mental health has never felt safe to discuss. Trauma, substance use, veteran-related stress, grief, depression or low self-worth may be part of the picture. I work with teens, adults and older adults who want a private place to talk honestly, make sense of what they have carried and build a clearer path forward.
My Background and Approach
My style is engaged, compassionate and goal-oriented. We will develop a plan around your experiences rather than forcing you into a standard formula. I draw from CBT, solution-focused therapy, mindfulness and motivational interviewing. That may mean building tools for anxiety or cravings, processing a loss, identifying strengths that have been buried by depression or breaking a large change into realistic steps. I listen closely, give feedback and make room for humor and joy alongside the hard work.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in the power of human connection and resilience. Reaching out can be difficult, especially if you have learned to handle everything alone or work in a culture where asking for help carries stigma. Therapy should help you find strength in what you have survived without romanticizing the struggle. Outside of work, I enjoy time with my wife, son, dog and two cats, as well as the outdoors, reading, gaming and skiing. Those parts of life remind me that growth also needs connection, play and rest.
