About My Clients
Healing requires a safe, judgment-free space, and I welcome individuals from all backgrounds. I offer compassionate, holistic therapy tailored to your unique story. I specialize in supporting the 2SLGBTQ+ community, people living with HIV, and justice-involved populations, including those navigating sexual offenses.
My Background and Approach
Welcome! Taking the courageous step to seek support is a big deal, and I want you to know that my door is open to you. As a therapist (MSW) and a military veteran, my goal is to provide a warm, deeply respectful, and judgment-free space for anyone who needs someone in their corner. While I welcome clients from all walks of life and with a wide variety of mental health needs, I do hold a special focus and passion for supporting individuals who often face intense stigma or systemic roadblocks. You are welcome here just as you are.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As an LLMSW, my practice is rooted in advocacy and holistic care. My core belief is that every individual deserves compassionate support to overcome systemic barriers. I have extensive experience in forensic social work, notably as a Social Work/Mitigation Intern helping public defender clients address non-legal barriers and mitigate legal cases. I am deeply committed to LGBTQ+ rights and public health advocacy. I actively support these causes as the Grand Haven Pride Festival Committee Co-Chair and the Michigan HIV AIDS Council Community Co-Chair. My ongoing work with the Ryan White Clinical Quality Management Committee further reflects my dedication to justice reform and equitable healthcare. Whether facilitating therapy for trauma and substance use or advocating in the community, my goal is to empower my clients and foster lasting resilience.
