About My Clients
Clients can expect. a safe, non-judgmental space where they can share their experiences and receive validation for their emotions and what they are going through. In the first session, I encourage clients to share their background and goals, and will listen intently to their perspective so we can work together to find solutions to problem areas.
My Background and Approach
My approach combines person centered, cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, eclectic, and family system philosophies. I also combine empathy with a solution-based approach and tailor my treatment plans as needed. Combining mental health counseling with other creative approaches such as music therapy offers a unique way of meeting my clients specific needs. I'm also a clinical specialist with those with autism spectrum disorder and ADHD. I've worked with children, adolescents, and adults with a variety of other concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems and Bi-Polar disorder. In addition, I am a grief and loss specialist helping those dealing with grief and loss from the death of a loved one and coordinates weekly bereavement groups.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My therapy style is open, caring, positive, meeting clients where they are. I believe in treating people with the utmost respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and offering unconditional positive regard.
