About My Clients
I work with individuals facing a variety of life's challenges. My primary focus has been in work with the trans/nonbinary community in exploring identity, validating experience, celebrating growth and navigating one's personal journey. I also have experience working with neurodiversity, recognizing and meeting client's needs. Many clients may need support with depression, anxiety, ADHD, ASD, OCD or other issues. Topics also include relationship issues, addiction challenges and work/life balance.
My Background and Approach
I have been in private practice for 14 years. I also have experience working in a community health center environment, working with people with diverse backgrounds and needs. I have extensive history working with the LGBTQ community prioritizing improved mental health professionally and in community. I am a licensed counselor in DC and Maryland and a licensed clinical supervisor for LGPCs in Maryland. I hold a certificate of advanced training from the World Professional Association for Transgender Health and continue to expand my knowledge of working with this community. I have extensive knowledge of other local and online resources and supports as well as decades of experience in writing supportive letters for those individuals seeking medical intervention related to their gender journey.
