About My Clients
I provide counseling for children, teens, and adults, supporting concerns such as ADHD, anxiety, depression, and life challenges. Using evidence based approaches like CBT and narrative therapy, I take a collaborative approach to help clients better understand their experiences while creating a space that supports lasting, meaningful growth.
My Background and Approach
I’m a current elementary school counselor with experience supporting children and adolescents as they navigate academic, behavioral, and emotional challenges in the school setting. I work with kids ages 8 and older using CBT and narrative therapy to help with concerns such as ADHD, anxiety, depression, and work refusal, while building healthier coping skills and thought patterns. I also work with adults, more specifically, first generation Americans who are exploring identity, belonging, and what it means to live between cultures. As a first-generation American, I bring both personal and professional understanding to issues of adjustment or identity development. My approach is collaborative and grounded, focused on helping you feel understood while supporting meaningful and lasting change.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that every person, regardless of background, identity, or lived experience, deserves access to compassionate mental health care. As a person of color, I bring an understanding of the unique challenges many individuals face in the United States, including the impact of systemic and cultural experiences. As an Asian clinician, I am also aware of how mental health can be stigmatized or left unspoken in many communities. In our work together, I aim to create a space where clients can examine and reshape the stories they carry, transforming past experiences from limitations into sources of insight, strength, and forward movement.
