About My Clients
I treat adults and adolescents facing a wide range of concerns, including trauma and PTSD, anxiety, phobias, depression, suicidal thoughts and self-harm, anger, substance use, and difficulties with emotional regulation. My approach focuses on tailoring treatment to each individual’s needs, drawing from effective evidence-based approaches.
My Background and Approach
I’m a trauma-informed psychologist specializing in evidence-based treatment for trauma and PTSD. For over 17 years, I’ve supported teens, adults and veterans in healing from the effects of trauma using proven approaches like Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Prolonged Exposure (PE), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). I view therapy as a partnership that combines your lived experience with my clinical expertise. We’ll work together to process trauma, build resilience, and reconnect you with the parts of life that feel meaningful. Healing isn’t about forgetting the past—it’s about finding a new relationship with it so it no longer defines or limits you. If you’re feeling stuck, on edge, or disconnected after trauma, please know that recovery is possible. With the right support, you can begin to feel safe again, reconnect with yourself and others, and move toward a life that feels more peaceful, purposeful, and whole.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a psychologist, I am committed to creating a welcoming, affirming, and safe environment for all individuals seeking support. I recognize that each person brings a unique set of experiences shaped by culture, identity, background, and personal history, and I honor the richness that diversity brings to the therapeutic space. I strive to practice with cultural humility, acknowledging the ongoing journey of learning and unlearning necessary to serve clients from all walks of life with respect and compassion. My practice is inclusive of individuals of all races, ethnicities, nationalities, languages, genders, sexual orientations, relationship structures, religions, spiritual beliefs, ages, abilities, body sizes, and socioeconomic backgrounds. I am committed to affirming the identities of LGBTQIA+ individuals, neurodivergent clients, people with disabilities, immigrants, BIPOC communities, and anyone who has experienced marginalization or systemic oppression.
