Relationships are hard. So is feeling like yourself. I work with couples who want closeness and individuals who want to feel more grounded.

About My Clients

Maybe you and your partner keep having the same fight, or you've drifted into a quiet distance that neither of you knows how to bridge. I work best with couples who are ready to stop going in circles and start actually reaching each other. I also work with individuals who feel capable on the outside but privately disconnected — from their relationships, their sense of self, or both. If you're ready to do the work, I'd be glad to be in your corner.

My Background and Approach

I hold a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and am licensed in both DC and Virginia. But credentials only tell part of the story. Before becoming a therapist I spent years as an attorney and ran restaurants — experiences that taught me how to hold complexity, stay calm under pressure, and meet people where they are. If you're coming to couples therapy, you deserve a therapist with serious, specialized training. I've completed advanced training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and the Gottman Method — two of the most researched approaches to couples work — so our work together isn't just intuitive, it's grounded in what actually moves the needle. For individuals, I draw on IFS and ACT to help you understand your inner world and take meaningful action toward the life you want. Underlying everything is an existential lens: I'm interested in what makes your life feel meaningful, and I think that question belongs in the therapy room.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I'm a queer, cis-gender therapist who came to this work by a winding road — I spent years as an attorney and ran a couple of restaurants before finding my way here. That non-linear path shapes how I work: I bring curiosity, directness, and a deep respect for the messy, complicated experience of being human. I'm sex-positive and affirming of all relationship structures. I believe love is genuinely enough to sustain a relationship — what most couples need are the skills and self-awareness to navigate their attachment needs. That belief sits at the core of everything I do. When I'm not in session, you'll find me chasing my Shiba Inu, playing board games, or spending time in Provincetown.
