About My Clients
We live in anxious times and anxiety is the primary symptom that most of clients come to therapy for. As I only see adults and couples, my clients tend to seek counseling when they are struggling with life transitions. My clients usually have come to the end of their own resources and know that they need extra help to manage their symptoms and to help them get through difficult times. Many of my clients are often working through grief and depression.
My Background and Approach
Cognitive Behavior Therapy and Strengths Based Therapy and a pragmatic approach underlie my therapeutic approach. I help clients look at their lives with clarity and set goals for themselves. I help them use their strengths they already have and the tools that therapy gives to move towards those goals. If you are ready to make changes, I am here to help you make them.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that we are all stronger than we think we are and that we have far more resources that we are aware of - particularly in times of crisis. I also believe that changing our environment and structure of our daily life and supports can go a long way to foster change. I believe that change is possible for those who are motivated to change and willing to put in the work to do it. I have seen clients, couples and families make extraordinary progress beyond what they believed was possible and that has only supported that view.
