EMDR is a type of therapy that helps you heal from emotional distress caused by traumatic experiences. Gestault-based therapies, such as Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) offers a way to find rapid relief from painful memories and trauma without having to relive the events. Unlike traditional talk therapy, ART uses eye movements and Voluntary Memory/Image Replacement to change the way negative images are stored in the brain. As a result, traumas and difficult life experiences no longer provoke strong emotions or physical reactions.
