About My Clients

My clients are often carrying the invisible weight of trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, emotional overwhelm, addiction, or difficult life transitions. Many feel stuck in unhealthy patterns, struggle with intense emotions, or have spent years caring for everyone except themselves. Together we create a safe, supportive space where healing can begin, resilience can grow, and lasting change becomes possible through practical skills, self-compassion, and deeper emotional understanding.

My Background and Approach

### **Background & Approach (1,000 characters)** With more than 30 years of experience as a clinical social worker, I have dedicated my career to helping adults navigate trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, addiction, bipolar disorder, emotional dysregulation, and major life transitions. I believe healing begins with feeling safe, understood, and supported. My approach is both evidence-based and holistic, recognizing the connection between the mind, body, emotions, and nervous system. I integrate Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused Therapy to help clients develop practical coping skills while addressing the root causes of emotional distress. Together, we create an individualized treatment plan focused on building resilience, emotional regulation, healthier relationships, and lasting change. My goal is to help clients move beyond simply managing symptoms to creating a life filled with greate

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe every individual possesses an incredible capacity for healing, growth, and resilience, regardless of their past experiences. Therapy should be a place where people feel emotionally safe, genuinely accepted, and never judged. Healing happens through connection, compassion, education, and consistent practice—not through shame or criticism. I value treating the whole person by recognizing the connection between the mind, body, emotions, relationships, and overall well-being. I believe mindfulness, healthy coping skills, emotional awareness, and nervous system regulation are essential parts of lasting trauma recovery. My role is not to tell clients who they should become, but to help them reconnect with their strengths, discover their own wisdom, and build a life that reflects their values. Every person deserves hope, healing, and the opportunity to move beyond survival toward a more balanced, meaningful, and fulfilling life.
