My Background and Approach
I’m a Brooklyn born, North Carolina transplant who has an extensive history in working within higher education in diversity and equity efforts as well as being actively involved in community efforts and advocacy work. I’m deeply invested in creating spaces for healing and growth for individuals with historically marginalized identities.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I bring my full self into my work, and openly identify as a bilingual first-generation queer Latina clinician. I work with a strength based, affirming, non-judgmental approach. I center my work with clients around empowerment and anti-racist and anti-oppressive practices. I believe it’s critical to acknowledge the ways in which institutional structures, present day events, and historical contexts can (and do) all actively contribute to an individual’s well-being.
