Acceptance and Commitment Therapy is the treatment orientation that I use the most. It is a treatment orientation that focuses on helping you as a client find ways to live out your values in order to help reduce the symptoms that you may experience. Painful events will happen to everyone, regardless of how you chose to live, so ACT focuses on helping you become more resilient to these events by helping you focus on how you really want to live.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is a treatment orientation based around helping you change the way that you think about things. It focuses on rewriting the negative automatic thoughts that come up when something happens in order to help reduce the distress these events cause. It also involves steadily opening yourself up to these experiences in order to help reduce the distress they cause.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy is a treatment orientation that focuses much more heavily on education than others. It focuses on teaching emotional regulation skills in order to help a client better regulate the distress that comes from intense emotions. It helps primarily with individuals who experience heighted or intense emotions that can cause disruption of their social and behavioral lives.

Asking for help can be hard, especially when it comes to depression. I have a strong history working with individuals who are depressed following a wide variety of events. My goal is to help lessen the distress your symptoms are causing you, while also helping you get back to living life the way that you want to. Finding one's values and working to live by them allows you to better handle depressive moments when they arise.

Along with ASD, I also work closely with individuals who are neurodivergent in any area. As someone on the spectrum myself, I understand that many of the common treatment orientations do not provide the aid one feels like it should. At the same time many treatments revolve around skills teaching instead of walking along side you in life. I hope to be someone who walks alongside you if you are neurodivergent in order to better help you live the way you want to.

Anxiety can make it hard to do things that you both want to and need to. Similarly to depression, even asking for help can be difficult and bring up feelings of anxiety. But I strive to have a safe space for you to work through what is causing you anxiety. While working through anxiety, we would first spend time learning strategies to help reduce anxiety when it is building up, followed by steadily reducing the anxiety you do feel.
