About My Clients
I work with clients ages 6+ in individual, family, and group contexts. I primarily see in-person clients in Ypsilanti, Ferndale, Detroit, and do offer tele-health as needed. Therapy is a space that we will co-create and establish to meet you specific needs. Most often I help folks with communication, boundaries, anxiety, depression, and lifestyle changes.
My Background and Approach
I am experienced with both long-term and short-term therapies, empowering clients to set the frequency and intensity of services. Typically I use trauma-informed Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) approaches with art-focused or activity-based engagement. I also utilize a Humanistic approach which focuses on interpersonal connection. Client autonomy and informed decision making is central to my work. Therapeutic relationship and connection are key factors in treatment outcomes.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am a member of the TLGBIA2S+ community and a neurodivergent human. I believe strongly in the dignity and worth of every person and protecting equal rights for all. I engage in community support and academic research surrounding TLGBIA2S+ communities.
