About Our Clients
We specialize in supporting individuals and families through perinatal and reproductive mental health challenges — fertility struggles, pregnancy, postpartum, and loss. We also provide therapy for children, adolescents, and families navigating life's harder seasons. Beyond these specialties, we welcome adults seeking support for anxiety, depression, life transitions, and general mental health. Our practice is open and affirming, welcoming clients of all backgrounds, identities, and experiences.
Our Approach to Helping
Option 1 — Warm and narrative The Nest has been serving the St. Croix Valley for over ten years, built on a foundation of specialized perinatal and reproductive psychology. Our clinicians come from a variety of clinical backgrounds — counseling psychology, social work, marriage and family therapy — bringing diverse expertise under one roof so that your care is never one-size-fits-all. We consider ourselves a boutique practice, which means every client experience is thoughtfully curated. We take the time to match you with the right provider, the right approach, and the right fit. Our team draws from a wide range of evidence-based modalities including CBT, ACT, EMDR, play therapy, family systems, and somatic approaches — always guided by what serves you best, not what's most convenient. What sets us apart is our commitment to the therapeutic relationship as the foundation of everything we do. You won't feel like a number here.
Our Values as Mental Health Practitioners
The Nest was built by people who believe therapy is inherently personal — and that means who we are matters as much as what we know. Our team is made up of clinicians who are active in their communities, passionate about social justice, and committed to showing up as whole human beings, not just practitioners. We are proud to be an open and affirming practice that stands with the LGBTQ+ community, supports reproductive rights and justice, and welcomes every background, culture, faith, and identity with genuine warmth. We believe mental health care is a right, not a privilege, and we work to make our practice as accessible and inclusive as possible. Our providers are advocates, volunteers, researchers, and community members who bring that energy into the room with every client they see. If you've ever felt like you had to edit yourself to feel safe in a clinical space — you don't have to do that here. We built The Nest to be different, and that difference starts with our values.
