I am a licensed clinical psychologist who believes therapy is most successful when the fit between client and therapist is a good match.
Psychologist in Bethesda, MD
My education and training has rested on using an integrative theoretical approach which allows me to adjust treatment to the very specific and unique aspects of each individual client.
CBT therapy has been well studied and established as an effective treatment to address issues related to depression, anxiety, relationships issues, and other areas of mental health leading to significant improvement in the functioning and quality of life.
Gaining insight into our relationships with others and with ourselves allows for tremendous growth. Every relationship in life is unique and uncovering our patterns, discovering hidden motivations, and considering multiple perspectives allows us the ability to enhance and rich our relationships through life.
There has been mounting research regarding ADHD in recent years and in addition to providing education and available resources, I offer a supportive environment to discuss and identify issues related to executive functioning. As we are all different in our individuality, so is our brain processing, therefore, figuring out each client's unique ways of thinking and behaving allow for the implementation of more effective and useful strategies to help make our way through life.
Much of my training and clinical experience has focused on the specific issues affecting young people. These days in particular have offered incredible stressors to children and adolescents never experienced before in history. We need to take extra care and consideration of our youth so as to guide and navigate them through the difficult transitions in life and help them become as successful in their mental health as possible.
