About My Clients

I am committed to providing culturally sensitive, affirming therapy to diverse communities. Most commonly, I work with women, LGBTQ+ folks, BIPOC individuals, immigrants/first gen. Americans, couples, teens, college students, and veterans. As a Cuban immigrant, I am also particularly attuned to the unique needs of ethnically and racially diverse clients, and can provide therapy in English and Spanish. Neurodivergent and queer affirming always!

My Background and Approach

As a licensed mental health counselor, I bring 15+ years of experience helping individuals, couples, and teens navigate life's most difficult moments. I specialize in anxiety, depression, trauma, eating disorders, body image concerns, and relationship issues. I use evidence-based approaches tailored to your unique needs, so that you can make real progress, not just feel like you're talking in circles in therapy. I am certified in Cognitive Processing Therapy for PTSD and also have extensive training in DBT skills, which are great for managing emotions, tolerating distressing situations, and increasing effectiveness in your relationships. My telehealth practice serves all of Florida, meaning you can access quality health care from the comfort and privacy of your own home, on a schedule that works for you. From the first appointment, I focus on building a genuine connection with you — learning who you truly are, what matters most to you, and how I can meet you exactly where you are.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I am particularly passionate about providing specialized treatment for women of color with eating disorders, a topic I have presented on at national professional conferences. As a Latina immigrant, I am also particularly invested in supporting the needs of immigrant and first generation American clients. I provide psychological evaluations for immigration cases including VAWA, asylum, U/T visas, and hardship waivers, helping clients advocate for their rights and documenting their unique experiences with care and precision.
