My Background and Approach
Before becoming a therapist, I have worked in several countries including Singapore and Australia. I have a background in education, leadership and start-ups. I worked as a lead therapist and intake coordinator in community-based agency before working at a community college as a adjunct faculty in their Personal Counseling Department where I give presentations on mental health to students and faculty members. I am integrative, collaborative, empathetic and relational in my approach. I conceptualize using a broad psychodynamic, attachment and family systems theories. In sessions I may use ACT and CBT strategies to help my clients gain insights, learning coping skills and tolerate distress. I am 100% online although I do meet some of my clients for a 'walk and talk' session occasionally.
