About My Clients
I love to work with all humans! Everyone is welcome. Really. The areas I am most skillful in include: relationships, trauma, disconnection & avoidance, climate change, LGBTQIA+, polyamory and open relationships, cultural humility and curiosity, men & relationships, depression, anxiety, and sexual intimacy. My approach is multi dimensional and I am grounded in modalities such as eco-psychology, IFS (internal family systems), somatic practice, among other ways to make meaning.
My Background and Approach
My approach to helping you in therapy is to provide you with connection and a place to feel understood. For many of us, we come to therapy because we are feeling misunderstood, lost, confused, hurt and disconnected from ourselves and the world around us. Often we come to these feelings because of trauma or stress (either in this lifetime or in your lineage) that hasn’t been digested in the our body/mind. It can happen from living in an increasingly lonely and disconnected world. I like to support people in therapy to feel able to experience satisfying relationships with yourself and the world around you. This is what being alive is about! Therapy is a great way to practice connecting to and taking care of yourself. Therapy helps make room to focus on the parts of you that are neglected so you can learn to care for them and use this skill to care and be cared by others.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My personal beliefs are really centered around the power of connection and how having trusting and loving relationships to humans and the world around us makes us feel a sense of belonging and meaning that keeps us in harmony.
