About My Clients

I work with children, adolescents, and adults from diverse backgrounds with a wide range of presenting concerns, including grief, anxiety, trauma, self-esteem, boundaries, life transitions and challenges, trauma, family and relationship issues, and ADHD. My approach is integrative, trauma-informed, and rooted in humanistic and psychodynamic theory. Every person and their experiences are unique, so my approach will be tailored to your needs and what you would like to get out of our sessions.

My Background and Approach

One of my main areas of specialization is grief and loss. Losing something you love, whether it was a person, a dream or wish, a job, or anything that brought you joy and meaning in your life can be completely devastating and life-altering. Whether you are grieving a sudden or traumatic death, coping with anticipatory, unresolved, complicated, prolonged, or disenfranchised grief, or you are navigating a life transition, or coming to terms with the loss of a future wish, the journey of grief can feel incredibly overwhelming and isolating. Our time together is the space for you to find connection in your grief, process and cope with your loss and find hope and meaning in your life.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

Sometimes being a human is tough. Throughout our lives, we may find ourselves dealing with a variety of losses, hardships, and challenges, and this can take a toll on our emotional well-being. The more we try to suppress our feelings and pretend everything is okay, the less connected and engaged we may feel with ourselves and our world. Therapy is the place where you can find freedom in your emotional expression and seek a deeper understanding of yourself. I like to think of my role as your therapist like a flashlight or lantern, illuminating areas of yourself that you may not have noticed before that could be holding you back or hindering you from living the life you desire. I’ve seen both personally and professionally how therapy can be one of the most rewarding and transformative experiences we can undertake. I’m immensely honored to walk alongside you on your path of discovery. My approach is integrative, trauma-informed, and rooted in humanistic and psychodynamic theory.
