About My Clients
You may feel overwhelmed, depressed or stuck in a role that asks you to put everyone else first. Grief, family conflict, chronic illness, a life transition or questions about gender and identity may also be changing how you see yourself and your relationships. I work with adults and older adults who want a straightforward, nonjudgmental place to understand what is holding them back and build a more workable way forward.
My Background and Approach
My approach is practical, warm and direct. I believe healing happens in relationship, so we will first build the kind of trust that makes honest work possible. I draw from ACT, CBT, compassion-focused therapy, DBT, family systems, mindfulness, narrative, person-centered and solution-focused approaches. We may identify a pattern, practice a boundary, build coping tools or make space for grief that has not had anywhere to go. Therapy can feel awkward at first; we will work through that together and keep the focus on changes that matter in your life.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe asking for help is an act of self-respect, not evidence that you have failed. Therapy can give you room to step out of the roles you perform for other people and listen more closely to what you need. I value plain language, warmth and a relationship where you can be honest without being judged. The work can be serious without becoming cold, and practical without overlooking the complexity of what you have lived through.
