My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor. I am trained in EMDR and specialize in Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Anxiety, Depression, and Grief. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Exposure and Response Therapy, EMDR, Narrative Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am non-judgemental, take a person-in-environment approach, open to working with all types of people. I believe making a human connection with my client is the most important aspect of building trust. Clients that make a commitment to therapy and work hard, acquire much benefit from the time spent. I am a member of the International OCD Foundation, and National Assoc. of Social Workers. I am involved in my local LGBTQ community and local MHMR Guardianship Program.
