About My Clients

I support Black and Indigenous people of color navigating depression, anxiety, or trauma. Many seek diagnostic clarity, ADHD evaluations, or full psychological assessments to better understand their patterns and needs. Clients often want to regain balance, secure academic or workplace accommodations, and finally get relief from the stress, confusion, and overwhelm they’ve carried for too long.

My Background and Approach

My background is rooted in trauma work, Black and Indigenous mental health, and culturally grounded psychology. I use a warm, reflective, and direct approach that blends psychodynamic insight with practical tools you can use in everyday life. We’ll explore the deeper patterns shaped by your history, identity, and relationships, while also building skills to help you find relief in the present moment. Over the years, I’ve gathered a set of techniques that support emotional regulation, clarity, and balance. Together, we’ll work to understand what your mind and body are doing when stress or overwhelm shows up, and how to interrupt those patterns with grounded, culturally informed strategies. My goal is to help you feel more in control, more understood, and more connected to yourself—both in therapy and out in the world.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe healing happens when people feel seen in the fullness of who they are. As an Afro-Descendant psychologist, my work is shaped by culture, land, and the histories we carry in our bodies. I support movements that protect Black and Indigenous life and dignity, and I’m committed to trauma-informed, culturally grounded care. My time working with Indigenous communities in the Southwest strengthened my belief in the importance of community, reciprocity, and honoring our roots. I also know what it’s like to navigate anxiety, identity, and belonging myself, and those experiences help me show up with empathy and honesty. Outside the therapy room, I stay engaged in racial justice and community-centered work. If my approach resonates with you, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
