I firmly believe that the struggles we face in life are created within the context of our lives and relationships, and that healing happens within relationships as well. Developing a trusting relationship with my client is always my first focus in counseling. I have extensive experience working with clients (adults and teens) with depression, anxiety, trauma, substance use and psychotic disorders.
My Background and Approach
Throughout the therapeutic process I utilize a holistic, psychodynamic approach to encourage personal growth, empowerment, and self-awareness. My goal is to create a space where you feel equally supported and challenged. Therapy is meant to be a space where you feel comfortable and seen! I have worked in several different clinical settings focusing on anxiety, trauma, and self-esteem. In our work together I strive for you to feel like you can be yourself, are supported and cared for, and are making progress towards the life you want! I am constantly learning to increase my abilities to help you through what you are currently struggling with. In our work together, we will create a plan to help you develop healthier coping skills and promote more positive thinking. My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that all people deserve access to a judgement free space to work on their own goals. I provide counseling for adults who feel stuck and want to improve their life in some way. My commitment is to value and advocate for the individual diversity each client presents. I firmly believe that mental distress comes from our disconnection from ourselves and others. We will explore how you relate to yourself, your family, and the world around you.
