About My Clients
Are you struggling to navigate a traumatic situation? Do you feel stuck and helpless? These experiences can significantly impact your daily interactions and relationships. By using a solution-focused therapeutic approach, I can help you brainstorm, develop strategies, role-play scenarios, learn coping skills, and find effective ways to reduce your stress.
My Background and Approach
I am a Supervisee in Clinical Social Work. I have over sixteen years of experience and training in the field of social work, in particular working with under-resourced communities of color in a variety of settings. I specialize in working with children, along with their families, from middle childhood to late adolescence who are experiencing crises, various forms of trauma, abuse, neglect, and difficult life transitions that may affect their mental health as well as their academic performance. By utilizing cognitive-behavior therapy (CBT) and strength-based approaches, my goal is to empower clients with the necessary coping skills to navigate day-to-day challenges.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I operate with the conviction that everyone can achieve success in life, both professionally and personally, if given the right tools. As a board member for a nonprofit STEM mentoring program that helps under-resourced communities, I believe that, with the proper resources and determination to overcome adversity, any individual has the ability to maximize their potential.
