About My Clients
Are you holding it together on the outside while feeling overwhelmed, on edge, disconnected, or unsure of what you need? Maybe stress, trauma, anxiety, identity questions, relationships, or a life transition are showing up in your mood, body, sleep, communication, or sense of grounding. I work with people across the lifespan who want to understand what is happening beneath the surface and build tools that support clarity, regulation, connection, and steady progress.
My Background and Approach
I integrate clinical social work, psychology, cognitive science, mind-brain education, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to help you understand not only what you are feeling but also what may be happening in your body, nervous system, relationships, and environment. Depending on your needs, we may work on grounding, emotional regulation, trauma processing, values, communication, boundaries, sleep, or recurring patterns. My style is warm, direct, collaborative, and practical. I will not hand you a generic worksheet and call it care. I pay attention to who you are, what you have lived through, what matters to you, and what helps you feel more steady and connected. My approach is trauma-informed, neuroaffirming, culturally responsive, and anti-oppressive, helping you build insight, strengthen useful tools, and move through life with greater clarity, flexibility, and self-trust.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe people make sense when we understand what they have lived through, what they have learned to carry, and the systems they have had to navigate. I do not believe healing requires becoming someone else. I believe growth can include softness, honesty, boundaries, accountability, rest, joy, spirituality, and learning to trust yourself again. I value dignity, autonomy, culture, identity, and the right to define well-being in a way that feels true to you. I also believe mental health cannot be separated from racism, discrimination, family, community, work, school, faith, trauma, or social conditions. My work is grounded in culturally responsive and anti-oppressive values, so I attend to power, context, and lived experience. Spirituality can be part of our conversations if it matters to you, whether that means faith, nature, ancestry, purpose, or reflection. I care about helping people feel more whole, more grounded, and more connected to their own voice.
