About My Clients
I work with individuals impacted by systemic oppression, intergenerational trauma, and identity-based stress. Many experience anxiety, depression, or emotional exhaustion during life transitions. Clients often seek a culturally responsive, affirming space to build resilience and self-compassion, and to feel more grounded and supported.
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with experience providing culturally responsive, trauma-informed care to individuals from diverse backgrounds. My work is grounded in social justice and an understanding of how systemic oppression, intergenerational trauma, and identity-based stress can impact emotional health, relationships, and daily functioning. This perspective allows me to support clients in ways that honor their lived experiences rather than pathologize them. My therapeutic approach is collaborative, compassionate, and paced with care. I draw from evidence-based practices while remaining flexible and responsive to each client’s needs. Together, we focus on building emotional awareness, strengthening coping skills, and developing self-compassion. I aim to help clients feel more grounded and resilient.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe healing happens when people feel safe, seen, and affirmed in who they are. I value dignity, equity, and compassion, and I approach therapy with a strong commitment to social justice and cultural humility. I recognize the impact of systemic oppression, intergenerational trauma, and identity-based stress, and I believe these experiences deserve understanding rather than judgment. I affirm LGBTQ+ identities and am respectful of diverse cultural, racial, and spiritual backgrounds. I believe each person is the expert of their own experience and has the capacity for growth, resilience, and meaningful change. Therapy, to me, is a collaborative process rooted in curiosity, accountability, and care. I strive to create a space where clients do not have to minimize or explain their identities and can explore healing in a way that feels empowering and authentic.
