About My Clients
My clients typically come to me feeling anxious, lonely, depressed, isolated, and lonely - like something big is missing from their experience of living, but they can't quite put their finger on it. They may be suffering from negative self-talk and imposter syndrome. They may have childhood trauma and they definitely have experienced a sense of being "othered" by just about the whole damn world. They are desiring a gentle space to explore their desire for true belonging and self-love.
My Background and Approach
Generally, I work from a relational perspective - therapy with me will focus on improving, healing, or healing from the significant relationships in your life. I use an attachment-based and person-centered approach and pull from Narrative Therapy, Emotion Focused Therapy, and Relational-Cultural Therapies to build interventions specific to your needs. I specialize in: Creating space for self-empowerment, self-compassion, and love. Creating space for individual identity and self expression in a system that is not always safe, welcoming, or able to honor our brilliance Rewriting stories and working to give voice to past harms and hurts, while also addressing societal, individual and generational trauma.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I stand with women. I stand with queer, transgender, non-binary folx. I stand with black and brown people, indigenous and colonized people, and for those not invited to the tables they built. I believe in deconstruction, reconstruction, non violence and transformative justice. I stand with sex workers, the kink community and those practicing celibacy or non sexual intimacy. I stand with folx who have experienced religious trauma, or seek spiritual reconnection. I stand with folx uncertain where they stand in this funky ass world. In my personal journey I am exploring ethical nomadic living. Parenting two sweet cats, and working to strengthen my weak ankles.
