About My Clients
As a perinatal specialist, much of my attention is dedicated to helping moms navigate the prenatal/postnatal period. My scope of practice covers a trauma informed, whole-person approach to infertility, birth trauma, loss, anxiety, depression, and other perinatal mood disorders - along with providing support through the everyday, ever-changing challenges and transitions that motherhood and parenting bring.
My Background and Approach
I attended Gonzaga University for my MA in Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage & Family work in 2016, and received my perinatal training and certification through Postpartum Support International in 2022. I believe in the power of counseling through an integrated, whole-person approach. My framework is based in attachment theory, interpersonal neurobiology, cognitive behavior theory and emotion focused therapy. I use these theories to help identify areas of growth and lead my clients to greater self-awareness, insight, and lasting, sustainable change. I am also extremely passionate about nutrition, and the vital role food plays in mental health and our journey toward wellness. Because of this, I incorporate nutrition regularly in my therapeutic approach.
