About My Clients

I work with driven, creative women and non-binary folks that sometimes feel "stuck" in a world that doesn't validate their experience. Some of my clients might describe themselves as introverts or empaths. At times they might be juggling full time jobs along with passion projects or side hustles, while still making time for a social life. Many are uncovering the effects of past abuse or trauma and actively looking to foster better relationship habits, increase self esteem and find balance.

My Background and Approach

I offer clients a comfortable space to be their authentic selves in a world that often doesn't support authenticity. I believe in the importance of exploring the various aspects of our identities, both visible and invisible. We talk about the impacts of culture and relationships on your emotional well being. Together we might explore relationship and attachment patterns and identify ways to make shifts. With a background in expressive arts therapy, I utilize creative approaches such as writing and drawing to process emotions. I also introduce practical skill building, so that you have tangible tools to walk away with. Collaboratively we can explore ways to refine your narratives.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I am part of Stella Nova Psychology Inc., a feminist practice located in downtown SF. I'm a Maryland native and bring the east coast vibe to the Bay. For me, providing mental health care for women of color in San Francisco is a social justice act. I am proud to see that mental health stigma is decreasing, but there is still a major need for culturally competent care for people of color. I believe that healing begins with the relationships we foster within ourselves and with others. I also believe in being authentic and transparent with the clients I work with. I love a good laugh and believe in the healing power of laughter.
