About My Clients
I work with clients who may be struggling with depression or trauma related to their relationships or family. During our initial sessions, we will delve deeply into the issues at hand, and collaborate to create a plan for addressing them in a way that helps you get your life back.
My Background and Approach
I have over three years experience working with adults facing mental health crises. I recently have been trained in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) and am able to provide this to those interested. I often use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in my practice. In your first session, we'll explore what brought you to therapy and then decide the most appropriate ways to help you make progress. With CBT, we'll look at how your thoughts affect your emotions and experience. During treatment, I'll help you learn how to push back against those thoughts to change your feelings for the better.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My philosophy centers around the belief that everyone possesses the capacity for recovery. I strive to empower individuals to regulate their emotions, understand their behaviors, and ultimately achieve their goals for healing and personal growth. In my practice, I specialize in providing support for individuals dealing with substance use, mood disorders, anxiety, depression, and trauma. Using evidence-based approaches such as EMDR, CBT, DBT, person-centered, and humanistic therapy, I offer a compassionate and straightforward environment where clients can explore their experiences. Building a trusting therapeutic relationship is foundational to my approach. I strive to create a warm, non-judgmental space to feel heard and valued. Whether you're facing substance use, mood disorders, anxiety, depression, or trauma, know that you're not alone. Let's work together to find solutions and create positive change in your life - I'm here to help
