About My Clients
I work with teens, adults, and couples navigating trauma, depression, anxiety, borderline personality disorder, emotional expression and emotional dysregulation difficulties, adult children of parents with substance abuse issues, and family difficulties such as mother wounds or parental conflict.
My Background and Approach
My therapeutic framework relies on interventions from psychodynamic, attachment/relational, somatic, and behavioral theories. This means that I believe in the importance of exploring your upbringing and family patterns, processing emotions verbally and somatically, and building skills to help you live a more fulfilling life. Personally, I am not a fan of a "one-sized-fits-all" approach. I believe that every single human is unique, which means that I pull together different evidenced-based approaches that fit your unique, particular needs. In addition, I am all about creating a space where you feel like you can provide feedback on what works for you and what doesn't. We will work together to figure out what suits your specific needs!
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in the power of processing and uncovering patterns related to past experiences and relationships to help solve current difficulties. In addition, I put a great emphasis on the therapeutic relationship. Some characteristics that I value within a therapeutic relationship include: authenticity, humor, empathy, trust, safety, and mutual respect. Within my work, I utilize a neurodiverse, LGBTQIA+, body neutral, and culturally affirming lens. I believe that therapy should be a safe place for every single human being. Within my personal life, you may find me reading a romance or "romantasy" novel, enjoying nature, listening to Taylor Swift, or playing Fortnite. In addition, I love animals and have a particular soft spot for geese and ducks. If you're interested in working together, please feel free to message me. I am eager to meet you!
