About My Clients
I work best with teens and adults who feel overwhelmed, anxious, or stuck in patterns of OCD, perfectionism, or emotional burnout. Many are thoughtful, sensitive people who spend a lot of time in their heads and want practical tools alongside deeper self-understanding. You don’t need to be artistic to work with me, just open to curiosity and gentle exploration as we build steadiness, self-trust, and relief together.
My Background and Approach
I am a licensed, board-certified art therapist with training in mindfulness-based and self-compassion–informed approaches. I specialize in working with teens and adults experiencing anxiety, OCD, perfectionism, and emotional overwhelm. My approach is collaborative, grounded, and tailored to each individual, blending evidence-informed practices with creative and experiential work to support meaningful, sustainable change. Art therapy is a core part of my practice, but no artistic experience is required. Creative processes can offer gentle access to emotions, patterns, and internal experiences that may feel difficult to express with words alone. Sessions may include art-making, reflective writing, mindfulness practices, or other expressive tools, depending on your needs and comfort. My goal is to provide a steady, supportive space where clients can build practical coping skills, deepen self-understanding, and reconnect with a sense of calm and self-trust.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am committed to gender and racial justice, neurodiversity-affirming care, and creating a therapeutic space that honors diverse identities and experiences. I also bring personal insight into deconstructing Christianity and supporting clients navigating religious harm or spiritual questioning. My goal is to provide a collaborative, affirming, and shame-free space where clients feel respected, understood, and supported exactly as they are.
