About My Clients
If you’ve spent a lot of your life feeling like a misfit—too sensitive, too intense, too complicated, carrying the weight of systemic violence—you may be in the right place. I work with people who have been through things that are difficult to explain, difficult for other people to understand, or are often surrounded by shame or stigma. You may carry trauma, grief, relational wounds, or experiences you’ve rarely felt safe enough to talk about.
My Background and Approach
I have over 10 years of experience in mental health care, including work with people in and recently released from prison, substance users, street-based women and youth, and people navigating psychosis. I utilize parts work (IFS), somatics, art therapy, and Brainspotting to help my clients go deeper than standard talk therapy and get to know themselves without relying on cognitive, language-based sense making.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My work is rooted in the understanding that mental health can’t be separated from the systems we move through. I’m staunchly decarceral in my approach, meaning I reject punitive models of care and bring harm reduction (and anti-policing) to experiences of substance use, self-harm, suicidality, and other coping strategies. I don’t shy aware from these topics, nor will I leverage my power to usurp your agency. I’m also pro sex work, pro kink, and well-versed in poly/ENM/RA.
