About My Clients
I provide therapeutic services for individuals who experience anxiety, depression, intergenerational trauma, low self-esteem, and BIPOC-specific issues such as difficulty maneuvering through systematic oppression.
My Background and Approach
I have a very eclectic clinical style and I enjoy individualizing it based on the different needs of my clients. I deeply value the person-centered approach toward therapy where a compassionate therapeutic relationship is most important. I have been trained in intensive training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and I pull from other modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), and Buddhist Psychology in my sessions. I am also trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART). In addition to earning my M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Johns Hopkins University, I also earned her B.S. in Psychology from Virginia Commonwealth University.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I view therapy as a collaborative, creative, and mindful opportunity to model ideal well-being and interpersonal practices so that clients feel confident in who they are and how they take up space in the world.
