About My Clients
I work with children, adolescents, adults, parents, and families who may be navigating trauma, anxiety, life transitions, relationship or family challenges, parenting concerns, or difficult experiences from the past. Many of my clients come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, stuck, misunderstood, or unsure of where to begin. You do not have to have everything figured out before starting therapy.
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and the founder of Theory of Mind Wellness. My background includes working with children, adults, and families impacted by trauma, family changes, foster care, domestic violence, parenting challenges, and other stressful life experiences. My approach is trauma-informed, collaborative, and relationship-centered. I draw from approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness, Trust-Based Relational Intervention, and EMDR-informed practices as appropriate to the client and their goals. I believe therapy should be practical and individualized. Rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach, I work with clients to understand what is happening beneath the surface, identify patterns, build coping skills, and develop tools they can use outside of therapy. Whether we are working through past experiences, navigating a current challenge, or building healthier relationships, I want therapy to be a space where you feel respected.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe people are more than the challenges they are experiencing. Our experiences can shape how we think, feel, relate to others, and respond to stress, but they do not have to define our future. I believe healing happens through safety, trust, connection, self-awareness, and having the right support. I also believe clients are the experts on their own lives. My role is not to tell you who you should be, but to help you better understand yourself, explore your options, and make changes that align with your values and goals. Therapy does not have to be about "fixing" something that is wrong with you. Sometimes it is about understanding why you respond the way you do, developing new skills, processing what you have experienced, and creating healthier patterns moving forward. My goal is to meet you where you are while helping you move toward where you want to be.
