I have extensive experience treating individuals who have suffered physical, sexual, and emotional abuse within their intimate relationships. Together, we can better understand the signs of abusive and coercive control, and identify what you need to feel safe and secure. This can include identifying strategies to set better boundaries and self-advocate or coming up with a plan to safely exit the relationship. No matter what, I empower you to be in control. You are not alone.

As I've progressed in the field and experienced firsthand the ways in which compassion fatigue and burnout impact mental health and quality of life, I've become more intentional about treating it, specifically, within my clientele. You deserve to feel happy and satisfied in your profession. Together, we can identify strategies to improve your work-life balance, boundaries, and consider next steps to take that are in your best interest.

I have extensive experience treating individuals struggling with symptoms of trauma related to chronic and/or childhood trauma, physical, sexual and emotional abuse, neglect, community violence, and incarceration. It is entirely normal and understandable to have distress and other symptoms as a result of experiencing a trauma - no matter how "big" or "small" that trauma seems. I am trained in evidence-based therapies, including Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) and EMDR.

Motivational Interviewing (MI) is a strategy used by therapists where we reflect and match the client's readiness to change. It's okay if you are unsure or uncertain about addressing various aspects in your life. Change is hard, and it's a choice we must make repeatedly in order to sustain it. With an MI approach, you are accepted at whatever point you are in your journey, and I aim to help you discover other motivations or considerations to sustain future, meaningful change.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is an evidence-based, well-established therapeutic intervention. A CBT approach is one that understands the relationship between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Identifying, challenging, and replacing unhealthy or inaccurate thoughts can thereby impact your mood, and consequently, your decisions. Together, we can examine the ways in which you talk to yourself, as well as your worldview, and consider ways to change the narrative to improve your well-being.

Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) is an evidence-based eye-movement therapy similar to EMDR. In an ART protocol, however, you do not need to articulate details of your trauma or distress aloud. ART targets the images and body sensations, stored by your brain, related to your trauma or presenting problem. Many participants experience relief within the first few ART sessions. ART therapists require intensive, specific training and understand the relationship between the brain and trauma.
