About My Clients
I specialize in working with women during pregnancy, postpartum, and beyond. I help women reclaim their lives from postpartum depression, anxiety, trauma, and grief. I understand how overwhelming it is to juggle it all and feel constantly depleted. Motherhood is no joke! The loneliness, anger, resentment, and guilt make you feel like you're in survival mode. You might wonder if you will ever feel like "you" again. The answer is YES! You're not alone. I understand, and I can help.
My Background and Approach
I've worked for over ten years in women's health and maternal mental health. Before I became a therapist, I was a lactation consultant, doula, and childbirth educator. I'm also a mom and have experienced postpartum depression and anxiety myself. My personal and professional experiences are what led me to the work I do today. I have specialized training in working with women and families during the perinatal time and all the years beyond. My approach to counseling is compassionate, inclusive, and accepting. In our sessions together you will be heard, receive validation, learn new skills, process emotions and experiences, identify solutions to challenges, and grow in new ways. My practice is trauma-informed and I am trained in EMDR, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and use these approaches to help you process difficult experiences and start living a life that matters to you and brings you joy.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am a social justice oriented, trauma informed, anti-racist, and LGBTQ affirming provider.
