About My Clients
My clients are navigating transitions—grief, identity shifts, chronic illness, or relationship challenges. I work with adults, children, families, and athletes seeking growth beyond coping skills, building resilience, focus, and confidence. Whether adjusting to a new role, managing loss, or enhancing performance, therapy with me is a space where your story matters and practical strategies last.
My Background and Approach
I bring experience across community-based, nonprofit, and outpatient settings, including crisis stabilization, family therapy, and ongoing outpatient care. I provide diagnostic assessments, individual and group therapy, and treatment planning, always centering each client’s voice. I’ve supported clients through grief, loss, chronic illness, and identity shifts, and have facilitated therapeutic groups, including psychoeducational programs for those impacted by sickle cell disease. My style is collaborative and grounded. I integrate evidence-based approaches with honesty, creativity, and cultural awareness, drawing from cognitive-behavioral strategies, mindfulness, family systems work, and sport psychology techniques. I make space for reflection, pattern recognition, and skill-building, empowering clients to clarify values, set goals, and take actionable steps forward. Therapy with me is not just about coping—it’s about building confidence, resilience, and sustainable growth.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe therapy should feel like a partnership. Healing isn’t linear, and sometimes it’s messy—that doesn’t mean you’re failing, it means you’re human. I meet clients with honesty, empathy, and curiosity, and I hold space for both vulnerability and growth. My role isn’t to tell you who to be, but to help you discover what thriving looks like for you, and to support you in getting there. Outside of the therapy room, I value creativity, cultural exploration, and finding joy in overlooked details of daily life. Those passions shape how I show up with clients: with openness, a willingness to see the bigger picture, and a focus on small, meaningful shifts. I believe in blending clinical expertise with humanity—because while evidence-based tools matter, so does feeling seen, heard, and understood. My hope is to create a space where you can reclaim your story, recognize your strengths, and move toward a life aligned with your values.
