About My Clients
Do you ever feel like you're not able to get that one thing right or question if you're losing yourself amidst the seasons of life, like new parenthood or adjusting to college? Maybe you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed with daily tasks, or struggling to cope with a recent loss. Whatever brings you here, I'm glad that you're taking the first step toward finding support and regaining your confidence.
My Background and Approach
My approach to therapy comes from a humanistic, emotionally-focused, and systemic perspective. So when I work with clients, I view you and your presenting concerns within the context of your world and your relationships, how you identify, and all the parts you bring with you into therapy. I focus on supporting clients to access more understanding, compassion, self-awareness, and acceptance of themselves and their lives while honoring their culture, belief systems, relationships, and context. I also utilize cognitive-behavioral approaches within therapy to support clients in developing tactile strategies to address concerns.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am committed to providing a welcoming and non-judgmental environment as we work together to help you challenge unhelpful patterns, develop self-compassion, and address underlying elements that contribute to anxiety, depression, grief, and more. Through our work, we can create a collaborative and trusting therapeutic alliance and develop supportive tools As a therapist of color, my work also includes assisting individuals in deconstructing and challenging the impacts of systemic oppression, discrimination, and marginalization as it relates to self and cultural identity, anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, perinatal, and relationship conflicts.
