About My Clients
I work with people from all walks of life from just being released from incarceration to working on wall street. I have 8+ years experience helping others to manage a variety of concerns including self-esteem, ADHD, LGBTQIA+ issues, Gender Affirming care, Polyamory/Consensual Non monogamy, substance use/addiction, stress management, relationship issues, and women’s issues.
My Background and Approach
I have worked as a co-occurring therapist (mental health and addictions) for many years and I try to use that integrated model to be more open and non-judgmental with the clients I meet with. I believe that strategies and skills can be transposed across all areas of our lives and that our minds and bodies often need to be reconnected as we are often not aware of how they influence one another. I have experiencing using techniques from a variety of theoretical orientations to help my clients gain more insight into themselves.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that our own backgrounds and experiences impact our approaches and how we view the world. Having lived with neurodiversity (or Neuro Spicy if your on Tiktok), I believe that I look at the world differently and I try to learn from others and share lived experience with how we develop systems for ourselves to function in a neurotypical world. I also do Crossfit which allows me to work more on connecting with my body and being more mindful. I try to apply some of the lessons learned from this to how we can have more grace for ourselves and be kinder to ourselves.
