My Background and Approach
Moving clients from Surviving to Thriving Tara has experience managing a high school based Behavioral Disabilities class , has worked in a residential drug treatment program for adolescents, and has provided intensive in home therapy to youth and families ages 6 – 21. Through her school-based work Tara has developed extensive experience in working with adolescents with a myriad of emotional and behavioral issues, including but not limited to anxiety disorders, depression, and trauma. Tara brings an eclectic approach to therapy, utilizing Solution-Focused, Strengths-Based and Client-Centered approaches, as well as aspects of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
