About My Clients
My client population is diverse; mental illness, grief, loss & life transitions can impact everyone. I work with individuals (age 10 & up) & families . I have a particular interest in working with clients experiencing grief. The grief my clients experience can take many forms, from the death of a significant other to the loss of a body part, perinatal loss, pet death, loss of health, infertility, estrangement with a loved one due to addictions or severe mental illness & suicide loss survivors
My Background and Approach
I believe in the uniqueness of my clients; one treatment modality does not fit all. I draw from a variety of different theories to meet you where you are at. I offer creative, personalized solutions to guide you through your journey. I will work with you holistically; mind, body and spirit. I believe that therapy is a collaborative process. I will walk alongside you to help identify goals and treatment solutions at a pace that feels comfortable to you. You are the expert of your own life and I will never take that for granted. I believe that true strength and bravery will always intertwine with pain, fear & loss. I will travel through the grieving process with you & will provide you with compassion and support. Working with me and my devotion, you are safe to express your grief fully.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe the human spirit is beautifully resilient. I am a two time cancer survivor. I know how it feels to have your life completely disrupted and to feel at your lowest. However, when we are at our lowest point, we are open to the greatest change. I believe that change is always possible. I am passionate about helping guide my clients through the process of hope, healing & renewed faith. I understand that processing grief is often complicated by cultural discomfort and life experiences. We all mourn differently & judgement does not exist when it comes to this path.
