About My Clients

I love working with clients who are struggling with career and life transitions, anxiety, grief and loss, stress management and relationship & sexual concerns. Struggling with feeling disconnected from your body or your sense of purpose? Have you noticed that you are experiencing the same relationship patterns over and over again? Struggling with your partner around desire and sex? These are the concerns that I enjoy helping clients to work through. Let's chat about how I can help you.

My Background and Approach

I received my M.A. in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University with an emphasis on trauma studies. I'm a member of AASECT with the goal of becoming an AASECT certified sex therapist in the near future. I'm also a 500-hour RYT certified yoga and meditation teacher. Prior to my work as a therapist, I worked for years in the entertainment industry with various film, TV and music artists. I love to work with creative types and understand the challenges many face working in that industry. I welcome a collaborative process with clients and tend to use a mix of Narrative/Relational / Attachment &EFT (Emotionally Focused Therapy)/CBT (Cognitive Behavioral)/ ACT (Acceptance & Commitment Therapy) & Mindfulness and sex positive approaches to working with clients. I help clients to explore how your symptoms or "problem(s)" are impacting your overall wellness. I focus on how the mind-body is connected to your experiences and how to reconnect with values and goals using a holistic approach.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I also have a background working as a sexual assault advocate and bring a strong passion and skill set for working with individuals with sexual trauma histories. I'm based in Los Angeles. When I'm not working, I can be found with my Chihuahua (Homer), hiking, reading, watching film & TV and working on creative writing projects. “Accept yourself, love yourself, and keep moving forward. If you want to fly, you have to give up what weighs you down.” - Roy T. Bennett I believe that much of the work in therapy consists of working with acceptance and compassion. Acceptance: of our past, of what currently is showing up in our lives, and learning to understand how what we resist can be linked to our ongoing negative beliefs, struggles or maladaptive behaviors. At times, this may mean we not only have to extend compassion and forgiveness to others, but also to ourselves. In a world that tends to focus on imperfections, the journey toward healing can feel long and uncertain. Heal anyway.
