About My Clients
Many of my clients come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure how to manage big emotions. I work with children, teens, and adults who struggle with anxiety, emotional dysregulation, trauma, grief, and addiction, and who are looking for practical tools to feel more in control of their thoughts and feelings. For children and teens, this may look like difficulty managing emotions, frequent meltdowns, trouble with transitions, social challenges, or feeling misunderstood.
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC) with extensive experience working with children, teens, and adults in both individual and group settings. I specialize in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), helping clients build practical skills for emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and healthier coping. My background includes working with anxiety, trauma, grief, and addiction, allowing me to support clients through both everyday stressors and more complex challenges. I take a hands-on, skills-based approach, often incorporating creative and experiential techniques to make therapy engaging and effective—especially for children and teens. My goal is to help clients not only feel supported, but leave sessions with tools they can confidently use in their daily lives.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am passionate about creating a space where all individuals feel accepted, understood, and supported. I especially enjoy working with children, neurodivergent individuals, and those struggling with addiction who may feel stuck or unsure if change is possible. I believe that everyone has the capacity for growth, even in the most challenging moments. My approach is supportive, motivational, and strengths-based—I focus on helping clients recognize their potential, build confidence, and take meaningful steps forward. I love incorporating art and creative expression into both individual and group sessions, helping clients engage in therapy in a way that feels approachable, meaningful, and even enjoyable. I value connection, creativity, and meeting clients exactly where they are, and I strive to create an environment that feels safe, empowering, and encouraging for every person who walks through my door.
