About My Clients
Are situations in your life starting to make you feel stressed out and overwhelmed? Do you have past events in your life that effect you to this day? Whether your reason for seeking therapy is just a phase that you are currently going through or because of events that have occurred throughout your life, seeking therapy can be a big step towards a healthier and happier life. My goal in therapy sessions is to start where you are at and work together to get you to where you want to be.
My Background and Approach
I specialize in providing EMDR therapy to assist with trauma and other mental health concerns such as depression and anxiety related issues by addressing the underlying beliefs associated with these concerns and allowing your brain to fully process events that have occurred. I also have found success with utilizing play therapy techniques, sandtray therapy, and art therapy which can be beneficial for children, teens, and adults who struggle to express issues in a verbal manner and provide the ability to work through these concerns in a more creative manner. I also have training cognitive behavioral therapy approaches which allows individuals to address maladaptive thought patterns and create a new outlook on life and situations they are coping with. I work with you to ensure therapeutic techniques fit your preferences.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that everyone has the resources within themselves to feel the best that they can, but sometimes they can be hidden and need to be re-discovered through exploring the self and brought to light. I also have a special interest in assisting individuals with disabilities and would love to expand services to individuals with disabilities as well as provide support to parents that have children with disabilities.
