About My Clients

I provide LGBTQIA+, gender and culturally affirming therapy to individuals, adult families and partnership formations, and I am passionate about serving those with trauma, relationship issues and fears, cultural identities, anxiety, grief, climate distress, and transitions. In our work together, you may come to know the strength, wisdom and immense heart already within you, and begin again to marvel at your unique unfolding as you continue to move through this complex world.

My Background and Approach

With a masters' degree from Naropa University in Clinical Mental Health Counseling: Contemplative Psychotherapy and Buddhist Psychology, I've been trained to sit with presence, warmth and compassion to the most uncomfortable parts of the human experience. I am now completing a clinical post-graduate at Denver Family Institute, where I receive extensive training, clinical experience, and intensive supervision in systemic-based therapies, including but not limited to; structural, strategic, and experiential family therapy models, trauma and attachment in family systems, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Psychobiological Approach to Couples' Therapy (PACT). My background in garden teaching and environmental advocacy, as well as my experience working as an advocate for those who've survived domestic violence, informs my eco-based, social justice lens. Beyond that, I receive ongoing training in somatic-based therapy, helping clients build capacity to be with their bodily sensations.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

As a Contemplative Psychotherapist, I value the belief that all of us, no matter what our problems, are fundamentally awake and healthy. I believe that, even while existing within oppressive societal forces, inside of us is an inherent sanity, full of freedom and the agency to respond. From a place of openness, I bring warmth and curiosity to all aspects of clients’ experiences - the disavowed, the previously unclaimed and unexplored - so they may come to see and understand the brilliant intricacies at play in themselves and the contexts in which they live. I seek to welcome all.
